Festival season is upon us!! For most of you around the world, that was quite a few months ago but for Canada, it started very recently. It’s my absolute favourite time of year because I can express myself through colourful outfits and makeup while dancing and headbanging to obnoxiously loud music. I dug through my makeup bag and found that I have glitter products from many different brands and price tiers. I hope that this article is helpful for anyone looking to add glitter to their collection without breaking the bank 🙂
It’s safe to say that Colourpop is one of the most popular affordable brands currently on the market. Their eCommerce-only strategy has been highly successful, and they have a talented group of affiliated influencers who proudly stand behind the brand. After their most recent round of hype, I finally caved and made my first purchase. Here’s what I hauled and what I think!
So I’ve already written quite a few posts about skincare, covering basics like hydration and going into depth about certain ingredients. This being said, my skin has reached a turning point and is now getting worse with my old routine. 🤔 This is because Toronto has very inconsistent environmental conditions so I’m adjusting from winter to spring (ish… it’s still 5 degrees C here ❄️). With my recent saving up, I’ve decided to completely replace my old products with some new ones that I’ve been eyeing recently. I’ll also explain why I chose them.
Unfortunately not everything works for everyone…
I was playing around with some colours today and the final look actually turned out pretty great! 😛 I have hooded eyes so I thought this might be a great tutorial (kind of?) for those with similar eyes. I’m still learning and can definitely improve, so any feedback is welcome. Please don’t mind my pores and skin texture 😓 I didn’t put on any face makeup while experimenting with this look besides concealer around my brows.
Damn it’s been a long time since my last blog post! I guess we can say I needed time to gear up for 2018? Anyway, here’s a quick overview with swatches on Sephora’s latest Favorites kit!
I’ve been seeing some ads on Facebook and Instagram about FOREO’s new “Top Secret” project that will apparently revolutionize the sheet mask industry. Their Instagram has been full of blurred out photos to tease us all, and I couldn’t wait anymore! They’re attending a conference called CES 2018 focused on tech starting tomorrow and will make their official release then, but all the info is actually available on Kickstarter!
Featuring Peter Thomas Roth, Make Up For Ever, and others. I’ve somehow gathered up a ton of primers (out of all makeup things?) so I thought that I should share my thoughts! For reference: I have oily/combo and sensitive skin so basically the more a primer can do, the better (mattify, blur pores, make a smooth canvas, etc.) 😃
Almost every brand now has their own version of Vitamin C. What does it actually do? How do I use it? Why is everything orange? 🍊 I answer these questions and more in my second lesson of Skincare School! Also happy new year everyone 🙂 Haven’t posted in a while because I was away on vacation… and now back to the cold Canadian winter 😦
Can you believe I got these 4 full size products for only $70 for Black Friday?? It was too good of a deal to miss out on and a great introduction to the brand. I’ve worn these products for a good amount of time now and in this post I offer my reviews with animated photos and swatches. All prices are in CAD.
