I’ve been seeing some ads on Facebook and Instagram about FOREO’s new “Top Secret” project that will apparently revolutionize the sheet mask industry. Their Instagram has been full of blurred out photos to tease us all, and I couldn’t wait anymore! They’re attending a conference called CES 2018 focused on tech starting tomorrow and will make their official release then, but all the info is actually available on Kickstarter!
Featuring Peter Thomas Roth, Make Up For Ever, and others. I’ve somehow gathered up a ton of primers (out of all makeup things?) so I thought that I should share my thoughts! For reference: I have oily/combo and sensitive skin so basically the more a primer can do, the better (mattify, blur pores, make a smooth canvas, etc.) 😃
Almost every brand now has their own version of Vitamin C. What does it actually do? How do I use it? Why is everything orange? 🍊 I answer these questions and more in my second lesson of Skincare School! Also happy new year everyone 🙂 Haven’t posted in a while because I was away on vacation… and now back to the cold Canadian winter 😦
Can you believe I got these 4 full size products for only $70 for Black Friday?? It was too good of a deal to miss out on and a great introduction to the brand. I’ve worn these products for a good amount of time now and in this post I offer my reviews with animated photos and swatches. All prices are in CAD.
We all want beautiful, clear skin. That’s why we invest so heavily in products that cleanse, brighten, tone, purify, detox, hydrate and whatever else is labelled. Did you know though, that there are very simple habits that may be interfering with your results? Fixing these 8 simple things could make a huge difference to your skin, without having to buy a $60 face mask. Photo by Sarah Gray on Unsplash
Another great bag this month!
This is gonna be a big one! For those who don’t know, 2x a year (once in November, once in April) Sephora holds a 20% off sale for VIB and VIB Rouge members (15% off for Beauty Insider) across the whole entire store, no exceptions. I assume everyone went a little crazy like me so I’d like to share what I purchased with animated swatches (so cool right?), and give some mini reviews.
#NoFilter #NoMakeup. I wanted to wait until my regular routine gave me consistent results before dedicating a full post to it. I’ve been using the same products for a few weeks now and my skin looks and feels great! I do have some minor blemishing on my cheeks and jawline, but for the most part I’m pretty happy with my bare face (minus my uneven eyebrows). These are the products that are working well for my sensitive, oily/combination skin during this dry winter season. Heads up: lots of best sellers and cult favourites ahead!
I don’t always have time to sit down with a brush/sponge and blend in foundation in the morning. That, and sun protection, are why I love using BB cushions. They’re cute, easy to use and portable since the cushion puff is included. Just like all products though, there are hits and misses. My collection isn’t big but there are some good/bad products here I’d like to review. Every cushion here is SPF 50+/PA+++ unless otherwise stated.
Most of the time, I buy things after reading ratings & reviews online (a term called “webrooming”) so it’s uncommon for me to not like something. But of course everyone is different, and there will always be products that work for some people, and don’t work for others. This is my first post about products that didn’t work for me. They don’t necessarily suck, but if I went back in time, I wouldn’t have bought any of these items.
